Manuel leads a highly successful life and is about to marry a wonderful woman, but an unexpected phone call upends his future, forcing him to travel to Chihuahua, Mexico. There, he tragically reunites with Esmeralda, his true soulmate whom he was separated from 15 years prior after they both survived a horrific train accident under the shadow of Francoist Spain. In just a few weeks of this unexpected reunion, they realize that 15 years of separation are absolutely nothing against a timeless love, granting Manuel a profound "breath of life" to completely rediscover and unearth the dreams and passion he had long buried.
